Same Pen is a focused tool. It does one thing: it reads the signals from your Apple Music account, identifies the writers and composers behind the songs you clearly love, then surfaces other tracks linked to those same pens.

It isn't a social platform. It isn't a general music app. There are no follows, no feeds, no charts. Just the people behind the songs you already love, and what else they wrote.

What you'll see

After you connect, we look at — in priority order — your favourited songs, your Replay top tracks, what's been in heavy rotation, and what you've recently played. From those we extract writer and composer credits.

The result is a curated list of around twenty songs linked by shared pens, filtered against the tracks we can see you already know. You can deselect anything that doesn't land, rename the playlist, and save the rest straight into your Apple Music library.

What we don't claim

Apple's catalog only credits composers on a subset of tracks. We don't pretend otherwise. When metadata is too thin to build a useful list, we say so and show a smaller, higher-confidence set rather than padding the results.

We also can't promise these are songs you've never heard — only that they're less likely to already be in your rotation, based on the Apple Music signals we have access to.

What stays private

Your Apple Music user token never leaves your browser. The Apple developer token used to authorize MusicKit is generated on our server, scoped to short lifetimes, and signed with a key we never expose to client code.
